Our new “Brain Clocks” Booth at IU Science Fest 2025: We engaged the general public through hands-on genetics and microscopy activities, along with educational materials on circadian clocks and the benefits of healthy sleep routines.
We organized and run the Neurobiology of Behavior day as part of the Biology Department’s 2025 Holland RISE program. Students attended faculty talks in the morning and participated in hands-on activities in our lab in the afternoon.
Our lab developed and runs the Brain Clocks science outreach program, a hands-on initiative where K–12 students learn how the brain regulates daily behaviors.

Dr. Fernandez served as Co-chair and Panel Moderator for SRBR´s Town Hall on the Permanent Daylight-Saving Time bill (pDST, amendment to H.R.4350)
